End of school

School is almost over and 8th graders become 9th graders, 6th graders become 7th graders, and 7th graders become 8th graders. Summer is only 3 WEEKS away but some of us might not go to the next grade. Why? Some of us did NOT turn in school books or pass classes. SO PASS YOUR CLASSES AND TURN IN YOUR SCHOOL BOOKS!!!
Reminder: All library books are due by May 12.

TAME 2010

April 9- 10 several students attended the 25th annual TAME, Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering, competition in Houston, Texas. These students took tests in science and math, as well as, competed in a hands in engineering competition. Their hard work and enthusiasm throughout this competition was amazing! We are proud of you TAME Warriors!

What Is A Wampum?
Many of you may be wondering what a wampum is, or why this newspaper is called the Warrior Wampum. The reason I’m writing this article is to answer such questions. Here is your answer.
“I was thinking that since we are the Watauga Warriors we should have an American Indian name. And a wampum is a bead, and each wampum holds a memory like each article holds a memory,” said Mrs. Nyvall when we had our first meeting.
Personally, I think that we could make this newspaper just as great as professional newspapers, such as The New York Times!

Watauga Middle School Annual Fun Run

Get your jogging shoes ready because the annual Watauga Middle School Fun Run is right around the corner! Sign up now to participate. There will be a 1 mile Fun Run and 5K Run on the morning of April 10. Bring your friends and family for a little exercise and alot of fun!
